REFUGIN

Communitarian approach for a holistic young refugee long-term integration

REFUGIN aims to foment the active engagement and impact of educational and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) professionals working with young refugees, striving to improve these refugees’ sustained integration in the medium-to-long-term, as well as promoting more tolerant and inclusive societies.

Project objectives

Promote cooperation among NGOs and educational professionals.

Provide a comprehensive overview of the existent civil society practices for refugees’ integration.

Comprehend the needs of young refugees in European countries and those of the educational and NGOs practitioners working with them.

Provide an overview of the reality experienced by young refugees.

Capacitate relevant actors on tailored strategies to address the challenges young refugees face.

Increase young refugees’ capabilities.

Improve young refugees’ social connectedness and trust-based relationships with the host community.

Promote communitarian dynamics to enable social awareness.

Expected results

  • Create REFUGIN’s network and mapping promising practices.
  • Assessment of the target groups’ specific needs.
  • Development of innovative tailor-made training programmes for schools and NGOs professionals.
  • Structured guidelines and activities to foster the social and educational integration of young refugees.
