Addressing the health and safety issues of the prison workers in Romania’s prison system
Project description
The Plus Dialog project focuses on addressing the health and safety issues of the prison workers in Romania’s prison system, in order to improve their working environment. More precisely, it aims at enhancing the implementation of the decent work agenda – fair and decent working conditions, by promoting the capacity building of the existing health and safety committees through a series of activities.
Expected outcomes of the project
The project foresees the following outcomes:
- A research framework – collecting data and information in regards to the health and safety conditions in both the European and Romanian prison contexts
- Capacity building program for the health and safety committee members – aiming at improving the social dialogue between the trade union and national authorities in matters of health and safety
- Training program on health and safety in Romanian prison contexts – useful in improving the knowledge of the committee members in matters of health and safety at work, in order for them to become positive agents of change
